Chocolate Ganache Banana Bread ππ«
Rich, moist banana bread loaded with chocolate chips and topped with a silky chocolate ganacheβperfect for dessert or an indulgent snack.
Ingredients
For the Banana Bread:
- 2 cups flour (250g)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Β½ teaspoon salt
- Β½ cup butter, melted (115g)
- ΒΎ cup sugar (150g)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1Β½ cups / 340g)
- Β½ cup milk (120ml)
- Β½ cup chocolate chips (90g)
For the Chocolate Ganache:
- 1 cup chocolate, chopped (180g)
- Β½ cup heavy cream (120ml)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Oven
Preheat oven to 180Β°C (350Β°F). Grease or line a loaf pan.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients
In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
3. Mix Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth.
Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
Stir in mashed bananas and milk.
4. Combine
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
Mix gently until just combinedβdo not overmix.
Fold in chocolate chips.
5. Bake
Pour batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 50β60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the bread cool completely.
6. Make the Ganache
Heat the cream until hot (but not boiling).
Pour over chopped chocolate and let sit for 1β2 minutes.
Stir until smooth and glossy.
7. Finish
Pour ganache over the cooled banana bread.
Let it set before slicing and serving.

- Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and sweetness
- Donβt overmix the batter to keep the bread soft
- Let the bread cool fully before adding ganache
