- Preheat oven to 170Β°C (340Β°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugar until light & fluffy.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Add flour and salt, stir until a soft dough forms.
- Roll dough into small balls and place on the tray.
- Gently press each with a fork to create a classic pattern.
- Bake for 12β15 minutes until edges turn lightly golden.
