🍰 Vanilla Chocolate Swirl Cake

🛒 Ingredients
Cake Batter
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 3 large eggs (room temperature)
- ¾ cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
Chocolate Swirl
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp hot milk or hot water
- 1 tbsp sugar (optional)
👩🍳 Instructions
- Preheat Oven
Preheat to 170°C (340°F).
Grease and line an 8-inch round pan or loaf pan. - Mix Dry Ingredients
In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. - Mix Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla until smooth. - Make Batter
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients.
Mix gently until just combined (do not overmix). - Prepare Chocolate Batter
Divide batter into two portions.
Mix cocoa powder with hot milk/water (and sugar if using).
Stir into one portion of batter. - Create the Swirl
Spoon vanilla and chocolate batters alternately into the pan.
Use a skewer or knife to gently swirl (don’t overmix). - Bake
Bake for 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. - Cool & Serve
Let cool completely before slicing.
